A travel to Bath

The I and II class of Linguistic HIgh School and the class of the Applied Sciences High School are planning a trip to study in the town of Bath, a World Heritage site. In addition to visiting and discovering the treasures of architectural and historical places, among the most interesting in Europe, such as the Roman Baths, the Pump Room, the abbey of the XV Century and the spectacular Royal Crescent, the students will follow the course of the CLIL language.

LOCALITY – BATH
Visitors can enjoy this beautiful city, one of the most beautiful in Britain. The main activity is the tourism. It is also a world-famous spa, where the tourists bathe in the warm waters where they used to unwind the Romans and the Celts over 2000 years ago. The urban center develops on the river Avon, crossed by Putney Bridge compared to Florence’s Ponte Vecchio: the only bridge in English to have shops on both sides.
SCHOOL & LANGUAGE COURSE
Located in the heart of the city, a few steps from the main attractions, the school’s Best in Bath offers modern classrooms and well-equipped. The course of the CLIL language, theme computer, of 20 lessons (15 hours weekly), is held by qualified teachers (native speaker, University and Teaching EFL qualifications). The first day of classes will be effected an entrance test which will help identify the language skills of the students and the consequent inclusion in the class of the most
ACCOMMODATION – TREATMENT
Students stay at local families, selected by the corresponding school; the host families offer accommodation in double rooms for two Italian students. The triple rooms are not guaranteed and are on request. This type of arrangement allows you to increase the value of the experience both from a linguistic point of view cultural. It is important that the children are well-prepared, with a spirit of adaptation and willingness to share with the host of new habits and a different lifestyle. The treatment provided is full board for the students, with breakfast and dinner with a local family and a packed lunch. The host families are located mainly in the 15-30 minutes of the bus, or walk from the center of the city.

INSURANCE PACKAGE
All packages include: insurance, service, insurance, medical expenses, legal expenses insurance, baggage insurance, and civil liability in travel (benefits provided by the Policy R. C. TRANSFERS
Transfer with private coach to/ from London Gatwick airport to the meeting point with our host families.
ANCILLARY SERVICES
Staff on site available to teachers and chaperones during the stay of the trip. Phone support Staff Trinity 24h for emergencies. Each student and chaperone will have a documentation of the journey, useful information for students and parents, the paper convened with the program of the trip abroad, the insurance and the gadget (document holder, luggage tags, backpack Throat). The school will receive details of the host families about a week before departure.

A course for all the emotions…in Spanish!

It is addressed to the students of the Linguistic and Applied Sciences High School. It’s the new extracurricular course  “De expresión emocional – en español” which will start in mid-November.

Emotions are the engine of effective learning of a foreign language, and a crucial stimulus for personal growth in adolescence. For this reason, the course is structured to teach the Spanish language through poetry, film, and experiential activities that will lead students to reflect on the emotions most important to their daily, learning to share them with others.

Time: 20 hours (meet-up of 2 hours/each)
Day and hours: Wednesday from 2.30PM to 4.30PM
For: High School Language and 1^ class of Applied Sciences one (only for students who have studied Spanish during the 3 years of Secondary School).

THE COURSE IS ALSO OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO DO NOT ATTEND OUR SCHOOL. ANY EXTERNAL PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE TO PAY € 10 FOR INSURANCE.

Tour to Teatro alla Scala

A day to discover one the most important historical-artistic assets of the city of Milan: Teatro alla Scala.

It is scheduled for Wednesday, October the 25th, in fact, the guided tour of the theatre and the theatre museum for all students of class V of the Liceo Scientifico and Liceo Linguistico, in order to grasp the characteristics of historical-artistic ancient and modern lifestyle of the late ‘800, already analyzed during the lessons.

ECDL at school

To achieve the ECDL Certification at school? Now you can! At the High School – Applied Sciences, in fact, during the hours of Computer science with the Professor of the class, you can study for the exam that represents a national level and the international standard for the “computer license”, because School Europe is a test center for the ECDL.

Where it is important to:

The preparation of the modules related to the certification that will take the students to the Basic certification, Full, and Advanced, will be conducted in parallel to the development of the Computer science program in accordance with the ministerial directions with the time and manner that will be set by the Class Teacher.

IMEP is back! This is what it is

Scuola Europa is confirmed as leader of the IMEP, Italian Model European Parliament, a simulation of the sessions of the European Parliament, in the English language, during which the students will perform all of the functions of the parliament.

A special event for the young adults of tomorrow, especially looking into the relationship between the school and the work’s world,  will take place at Scuola Europa starting the 1st of March.

Open to all schools of Milan and the Underground City, the works will be preceded by an opening ceremony which will follow the second and third day, in which the simulation will play. A final plenary session on the fourth day will decide the end of the work and will be followed by the closing ceremony with the delivery of the prizes to the best students.
